Dr. Carrie Orn
I am proud to say I am a 5th generation Jamestown resident. After attending Jamestown High School, I graduated from UND with a Psychology degree and Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha with summa cum laude. In 2009, after graduating from dental school, we moved back to Jamestown and bought the practice of Dr. Wayne McDaniel.
In my spare time, my husband, Ryan, and our kids, Olivia & Porter, Breanna & Brady, are active and we enjoy doing things together, especially outdoors! I am active in our church, Rotary Club, and a supporter of the University of Jamestown activities. Professionally, I am a Trustee on the Board for the ND Dental Association and have been an active member of the Heartland Study Club since 2009. In 2020, I was honored to receive the Excellence in Comprehensive Dentistry Award (HSC), 2018 New Dentist of the Year (NDDA), and 2015 Clinician of the year (HSC). It is an honor to be able to take care of my patients and to also be honored by my peers in this way.
Dr. Markelle Gartner
Dr. Markelle Gartner grew up in Bismarck, ND. She started shadowing and working with Dr. Orn in 2014
& 2015 when she was a pre-dental student at the University of Jamestown (formerly Jamestown
College). She graduated with honors in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in
Leadership. In 2019, she graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine with her
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Gartner is a member of the Heartland Study Club and the
North Dakota Dental Association (NDDA). She strives to provide a comfortable dental experience for her
patients and is passionate about spreading the importance of oral health.
Dr. Gartner is married to her husband, Scott, and has a daughter, Blake. They also have a dog named
Camber. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the races with
her husband, jogging, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.
Dr. Kylie Kudrna
Dr. Kylie Kudrna grew up in Bismarck, ND, and is the sister to Dr. Markelle Gartner. She started shadowing Dr. Orn and working at Orn Family Dentistry from 2017 to 2019 while attending the University of Jamestown. She graduated with honors in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Character in Leadership. In 2023, she graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Kylie is a member of the Heartland Study Club and the North Dakota Dental Association (NDDA). She also traveled to Guatemala in 2017 for a Dental Mission Trip. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable in the dental chair, striving to provide excellent person-centered care and oral health education to all ages.
In her spare time, Dr. Kylie enjoys being an auntie to her niece, Blake. She also enjoys being outdoors, traveling, attending races to cheer on her brother-in-law, Scott, and loves true crime documentaries.
Sara: Office Manager
Sara grew up on a farm near Wishek, ND before attending MSU Moorhead and receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration. She began working in a dental practice in 2011 shortly after graduating and knew she loved this field! She joined our Orn Family Dentistry team in July 2015 after moving to Jamestown from Fargo. She enjoys being part of a progressive dental office and positive dental team, assisting patients with their dental care needs.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, reading, being on the pontoon in the summer, and traveling. She and her husband, Randy, have two kids, Lucy and Leo, who keep them very busy!
Patty: Patient Care Coordinator
Patty joined the Orn Family Dentistry team in February 2016 and is happy to be part of a knowledgeable
positive team, assisting patients with their dental needs. Patty is married and is a mother to 3 grown
sons. She also has an amazing daughter-in-law and 5 delightful grandchildren.
She lives on a farm near Medina and has a seasonal lodging business. Patty enjoys spending time with
family and friends and meeting new people. She also enjoys cooking, power walks, working out, and
continually learning about nutrition. A good cup of coffee with a good book out in nature is her favorite
early morning activity.
Liz: Patient Care Coordinator
In her free time, Liz is usually working on the home she is remodeling with her fiancée, Andy, reading, painting, building and refinishing furniture, gardening, baking, or giving treats to her 2 dogs, Pete and Frankie.
Jacky: Dental Hygienist
Kali: Dental Hygienist
She enjoys educating her patients on the importance of good oral health and getting to know the person behind the teeth while she is working. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her family in the summer and keeps busy with her kids’ various activities.
Shannon: Dental Hygienist
Shannon looks forward to meeting patients and making their time in her chair a positive and comfortable experience, while encouraging and providing great oral care to them.
Carol: Dental Hygienist
Carol is originally from Edgeley, ND and graduated with an associate degree in dental hygiene from
MSCTC in 2011. She went into the dental field to help educate patients with their oral healthcare needs.
She loves being part of the Orn Family Dentistry team so she can help patients achieve the best dental
care possible, providing compassion, comfort, and professional care.
Carol married her high school sweetheart and together they have three young kids, Mason, Natalie, and
Harper. They farm and ranch SW of Edgeley. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family
and friends and anything that involves the outdoors.
Abby: Dental Hygienist
Abby was born and raised in Windom, MN but has spent the past 13 years in the corn husker state of Nebraska. She graduated from Central Community College in Hastings, NE in 2013 and has been practicing dental hygiene since. Outside of the office, she is married and has 2 little boys. During the summer, you’ll find her outside landscaping, gardening, going for walks and bike rides or at the park with her children. She also enjoys playing guitar and singing!
Abby loves meeting patients and getting to know them; she strives to take any of the anxiousness out of dental appointments and make you feel at home.
Kelsey: Dental Assistant
Kelsey was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, CA. She moved to the Midwest during high school and has really fell in love with it out here! Kelsey enjoys being part of such an awesome team and loves providing exceptional care to all the wonderful patients.
Kelsey’s free time is spent doing yoga and adventuring with her life partner. Her best friends mean the world to her and she loves traveling back to her hometown in California to visit all of her family. She has 2 dogs, Kash and Bella, who she loves to take hiking and have endless snuggling sessions with.
Gabby: Dental Assistant
Gabby is originally from Fargo, ND. She joined the Orn Family Dentistry Team in January of 2023. Gabby enjoys providing all patients with a positive experience and excellent dental care.
In her spare time, Gabby enjoys going to horse shows, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.
Goldie: Dental Assistant
Goldie grew up in Oakes, ND and joined the Orn Family Dentistry team in June of 2021. She is also a part-time assistant with an orthodontist office and has been working in the dental field for 2 years.
In her spare time, Goldie enjoys baking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She also stays busy taking care of her golden retriever, Sunny.
Jayla: Dental Assistant
Jayla was born and raised in Jamestown, ND and started working at Orn Family Dentistry in April 2023. She has been loving working here and getting to know the amazing team and patients!
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at Spiritwood Lake with her family, reading, and hanging out with her three cats, Nala, Simba, and Emmy.
Sydney: Dental Assistant
Sydney was born and raised in Jamestown, ND. She graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College and started at Orn Family Dentistry in May of 2023. She has always been interested in dentistry and is so glad she ended up working with such an amazing team!
In her free time, she enjoys reading a good book, spending as much time outdoors as she can, and enjoys watching dirt track racing! She always enjoys giving lots of cuddles to her cat, Bean!
