Dr. Carrie Orn
I love my profession! I really enjoy working with entire families and getting to know my patients. It brings me great joy to help patients be proud of their smile. We stay current and continually attend education courses to bring our patients the up-to-date tools and skills to stay healthy and prevent oral diseases. It is great to be able to work with my team and bring our patients the best care!
I am proud to say I am a 5th generation Jamestown resident. After attending Jamestown High School, I graduated from UND with a Psychology degree and Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha with summa cum laude. In 2009, after graduating from dental school, we moved back to Jamestown and bought the practice of Dr. Wayne McDaniel.
In my spare time, I love being with family! Along with my husband, Ryan, and our kids, Olivia, Porter, Breanna & Brady, we are active and enjoy doing things together, especially anything outdoors!
I am active in our church, Rotary Club, and a supporter of the University of Jamestown activities. Professionally, I am active in the ND Dental Association (on the Board since 2018, and President of the NDDA in 2023) and have been an active member of the Heartland Study Club since 2009.
In 2020, I was honored to receive the Excellence in Comprehensive Dentistry Award (HSC), 2018 New Dentist of the Year (NDDA), and 2015 Clinician of the year (HSC). It is an honor to be able to take care of my patients and to also be honored by my peers in this way.
Dr. Markelle Gartner
Dr. Markelle Gartner grew up in Bismarck, ND. She started shadowing and working with Dr. Orn in 2014 & 2015 when she was a pre-dental student at the University of Jamestown (formerly Jamestown College). She graduated with honors in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Leadership. In 2019, she graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Gartner is a member of the Heartland Study Club and the Dakota Dental Association (NDDA). She strives to provide a comfortable dental experience for her patients and is passionate about spreading the importance of oral health.
Dr. Gartner is married to her husband, Scott, and has a daughter, Blake. They also have a dog named Camber. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the races with her husband, jogging, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.
Dr. Emerson Rosenau
Dr. Emerson Rosenau grew up in Carrington, ND. She graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology before heading south to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2026. Dr. Rosenau is a member of the Heartland Study Club and the North Dakota Dental Association. She is passionate about creating a positive dental experience for her patients and empowering them to prioritize their oral health.
Dr. Rosenau and her husband, Trey, also a Carrington native, are excited to be back closer to family and look forward to putting down roots and calling Jamestown home. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active, relaxing at the lake, and taking walks with her dogs, Gus and Buck.
Sara: Office Manager
Sara grew up on a farm near Wishek, ND before attending MSU Moorhead and receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration. She began working in a dental practice in 2011 shortly after graduating and knew she loved this field! She joined our Orn Family Dentistry team in July 2015 after moving to Jamestown from Fargo. She enjoys being part of a progressive dental office and positive dental team, assisting patients with their dental care needs.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, reading, being on the pontoon in the summer, and traveling. She and her husband, Randy, have two kids, Lucy and Leo, who keep them very busy!
Ally: Patient Care Manager
Ally is a graduate of NDSCS (class of 2014) with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She brings 12 years of experience in the dental hygiene field. She is excited to step into a new chapter as a patient care manager of a growing practice and embrace the mindset of a new position – new me!
Outside of work, she enjoys country living with her husband, Trevor, and spending her time with their dogs and way too many plants! She is excited for the opportunity to grow in this new role, learn along the way, and bring her passion for dentistry with her.
Patty: Patient Care Coordinator
Patty joined the Orn Family Dentistry team in February 2016 and is happy to be part of a knowledgeable positive team, assisting patients with their dental needs. Patty is married and is a mother to 3 grown sons. She also has an amazing daughter-in-law and 5 delightful grandchildren.
She lives on a farm near Medina and has a seasonal lodging business. Patty enjoys spending time with family and friends and meeting new people. She also enjoys cooking, power walks, working out, and continually learning about nutrition. A good cup of coffee with a good book out in nature is her favorite early morning activity.
Liz: Patient Care Coordinator
Liz was born and raised in Bismarck, ND and moved to Jamestown in 2018. After studying Website Design at Bismarck State College, Liz found that she has a passion for working with people and joined the Orn Family Dentistry team in October 2020, where she has been truly enjoying her role in helping to provide the best possible care to our patients.
In her free time, Liz is usually working on the home she is remodeling with her fiancée, Andy, reading, painting, building and refinishing furniture, gardening, baking, or giving treats to her 2 dogs, Pete and Frankie.
Kayla: Patient Care Coordinator
Kayla was born and raised in Colstrip Montana. Shortly after graduating high school she moved to Bismarck, North Dakota and earned her Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management. Kayla most recently moved to Jamestown in 2022 and started working at Orn Family Dentistry in June of 2026.
In her free time she enjoys reading, crocheting, camping, and spending time outdoors with her husband, 2 boys, and 2 dogs.
Jacky: Dental Hygienist
Jacky grew up in Wimbledon, ND and graduated high school in 1985. She served in the US Army from 1985-1988 as a medic. Jacky began her dental career as a dental hygienist in 1995 & she started working with Dr. Orn in 2009. She enjoys educating her patients on their oral hygiene and working in a progressive office. She loves to cook and hang out with family. Jacky is married to Michael and they have 2 children and 2 cats.
Kali: Dental Hygienist
Kali grew up in Edgeley, ND where she currently resides on a farm with her husband, Tanner, and 4 daughters. She attended NDSCS in Wahpeton where she received her Dental Hygiene degree in 2006. After 10 years of practicing dental hygiene with Dr. Anderson up until his retirement, she joined the Orn Family Dentistry team in June of 2017.
She enjoys educating her patients on the importance of good oral health and getting to know the person behind the teeth while she is working. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her family in the summer and keeps busy with her kids’ various activities.
Shannon: Dental Hygienist
Shannon grew up on a farm by Page, ND and graduated from NDSCS with her Dental Hygiene degree in 2006. She joined Orn Family Dentistry in 2017 after getting married and moving near Pingree. Her and her husband have 2 kids and are enjoying all the fun that comes along with raising kids.
Shannon looks forward to meeting patients and making their time in her chair a positive and comfortable experience, while encouraging and providing great oral care to them.
Carol: Dental Hygienist
Carol is originally from Edgeley, ND and graduated with an associate degree in dental hygiene from
MSCTC in 2011. She went into the dental field to help educate patients with their oral healthcare needs.
She loves being part of the Orn Family Dentistry team so she can help patients achieve the best dental
care possible, providing compassion, comfort, and professional care.
Carol married her high school sweetheart and together they have three young kids, Mason, Natalie, and
Harper. They farm and ranch SW of Edgeley. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family
and friends and anything that involves the outdoors
Ashley: Dental Hygienist
Ashley is originally from New Rockford, ND. She attended M State Technical College in Moorhead, MN where she obtained her Dental Assisting degree in 2015. Ashley started her dental career working as a Dental Assistant until she received her Dental Hygiene degree in 2017 from M State. She and her husband relocated to Jamestown in 2020. She joined Orn Family Dentistry in 2024 with 9 years of dental experience. She enjoys meeting all the new faces while providing a calm and comforting environment for patients to feel at ease while receiving their dental care.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her son and husband, traveling, spending time at the lake in the summer, and reading.
Rachel: Dental Assistant
Rachel was born and raised in Jamestown, ND. In 2026, she graduated from MN State Community and Technical College with her Dental Assisting degree and started working at Orn Family Dentistry in May.
In her free time, she enjoys going to the lake, spending time with friends and family, and being active!
Annie: Dental Assistant
Annie was born and raised in Virginia, Free State, South Africa. She graduated from high school and went on to dental school to receive her Dental Assistant Diploma in 2000. She worked as a dental assistant until 2019 and then worked as a practice manager for two general surgeons. In June of 2024 she relocated to the USA with her two children, Henru and Joanie, to be with her husband, Hennie, who has been working in the US since 2017. Annie started working full-time for Orn Family Dentistry in May of 2026.
In her free time, Annie loves spending time outside working in her yard and garden and with her husband on the farm working cows. She loves reading, crafting, cooking and baking, and visiting with friends.
Jayla: Dental Assistant
Jayla was born and raised in Jamestown, ND and started working at Orn Family Dentistry in April 2023. She has been loving working here and getting to know the amazing team and patients!
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at Spiritwood Lake with her family, reading, and hanging out with her three cats, Nala, Simba, and Emmy.
Sydney: Dental Assistant
Sydney was born and raised in Jamestown, ND. She graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College and started at Orn Family Dentistry in May of 2023. She has always been interested in dentistry and is so glad she ended up working with such an amazing team!
In her free time, she enjoys reading a good book, spending as much time outdoors as she can, and enjoys watching dirt track racing! She always enjoys giving lots of cuddles to her cat, Bean!
Ashley: Dental Assistant
Ashley was born and raised in Fargo, ND. She graduated from NDSCS with a Liberal Arts degree while playing volleyball. She moved to Jamestown, ND, in July 2023. Ashley began working at Orn Family Dentistry in June 2025 and has enjoyed working in the dentistry field.
In her free time, Ashley loves visiting the lake, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
